Went to the seminar last night. I was glad it wasn't a hard sales pitch type of a thing. Instead they explained a lot of the science behind the program and why it should work.
After listening for almost 2 hours I decided to go for it and went upstairs and bought my starter kit. They took my measurements and my weight, which of course I can't remember exactly right now. They also took a before picture. I'm really curious to see if my face changes at all during this process - I'd love to lose my extra chin and maybe lose a bit of my puffy cheeks.
The diet itself is quite restricted - you have to really be ready to follow the rules and be 100% dedicated to the process. There is a wide selection of the food products, so I'm hoping I find several that I like. I don't mind eating the same thing repeatedly at least, so lack of variety isn't an issue for me.
I'm more nervous about the copious amounts of vegetables I'll have to eat. Carrots are off limits unfortunately - I was counting on those because I love them. But asparagas is OK, so there will be a lot of roasted asparagas in my future. Also on the good list: cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, and lots of other leafy stuff. Mom and I are off to Hy-Vee at lunch to stock up on green stuff!
